FW Iberica and a little more...

Hello folks!
This is my company! Foster Wheeler Iberia! I started an internship here for 6 months today. I is in the Instrumentation department... People are lovely and there is tons of work to do and loads to learn but it should be fun. I am a "junior" engineer aka intern engineer who works in a project, in all the instrumentation and control needed for a new plant for making coke out of wastes that come from the petroleum refinery. Pretty cool...
SOOOO MUCH TO LEARN!
I arrived yesterday from England (after some minor difficulties...) where I had a wonderful week surrounded by wicked wicked friend, and going to beautiful and wonderful places!
Visited a couple places and enjoyed myself veeery much!
Uh and became a fashion stylist for men!
Ha!

The Book: MARGARITA, PAPITA Y TITA - Una sola persona es, que hace por todos, como si fueran tres....

Before giving it to my grandma, Tita, on her big 80th bday I had this picture taken with the too copies there is for now: My copy, on the left, so you can see how it looks like, and her copy, on the right... very nicely wrapped, including bubble wrap, colour wrap, a ribbon, a butterfly, a metal-pretend-to -be-silver chain and very fancy, of course!!

After we had sung her Bday song and many other and had toasts of all kinds I came from the back (I the time before I was kind of hidding with her book or just in the back for her not to see me) with her copy.... Every one was around her waiting for the moment.... I was about to explode maybe crying, maybe shouting or just run away! I was soooo nervous! I said that this was my present but if it hadnt been for everyones help, that wouldnt have been possible...

She got the idea that is was going to be something important and everyone was shouting what to do!
She finally unwrapped her pressie and when she first saw it, I started reading the prologue of the book, which I wrote. While everyone was listening to what I was reading she was looking at the book and basically flipping out, getting the big picture!! It was a book about her!!
We ALL ended up balling, 40 people... which was nice and the whole rest of the night she kept showing the book to everyone and reading bits and pieces, the funny parts first, of course!!

I was so nervous that my cousin made me drink Aguardiente, a licorice drink we have in colombia with a very high % of alcohol and which I find absolutely discusting but she didnt give me a choice... She threatened be to inyec me the 2 shots!! Or course, I hadnt eaten a bite so after those two shots I was happy and flying in the clouds!! They certainly worked for their purpose!!

Now, grandma has got her book, which she absolutely loved and kept asking me questions about how I made it and telling every single biped about the book, to the point of being very embarrasing but nice!!! We even invited all her friends who wrote in the book for tea and biscuits at my house to thank them for their writings and to show them the "art work".
ITs funny because she carries it around everywhere!!

I worked for very long in this other project but it has been the most rewarding and enriching thing Ive ever done in my life and just by her reaction to it I dont regret one single second I spent working on it.... It was totally worth it and of course, she is totally worth it.

My family - Too many ponchos jumping on the bed!

For Tita's birthday, as I said before, we did a family trip all together to the coffee zone. On the actualy birth date in the evening we had a special show organised for her. It first included all of us with these hilarious ponchos where we took some family photos...
Well, here they are...

In Colombia...

Happy (not) Christmas and Happy New Year!
Im in Colombia and I have been having the greatest fun on my life these past days!
Life has been incredibly wonderful and over all very crowded with the Vargas Reyes Family and others all over the place!
I hope that in the next few days Im able to describe my experience at the ZONA CAFETERA of Colombia... right in the middle of the country, at around 1200 metres over the sea level where almost all the coffee of the country is grown, right in the central line of the 3 little Andes Mountains that are in Colombia.
My family and I (around 35 people) went there from Dec 23rd until the 28th to spend Christmas Eve, my cousin Andrea's bday (the 24th), Christmas day but most importantly and especially, my wonderful grandma's Tita's 80th bday. It has been the most amazing trip Ive ever done... Very crowded of course but certainly worth it of repeating it as Ive seen the most amazing sites and places...
I do have an incredible collection of photos and videos that I plan to organise at some point in my life and show some of them to you or maybe all of them!

3 months!

Its been like 3 months since I last wrote here on my blog! I almost forgot it existed!
This proves that my little life has been incredibly, more than ever (which I thought it was impossible some time ago...) BUSY!
I barely have time to breath! Let alone write on my blog!
Im fine, tired but fine... looking forward to finishing my degree or at least this term soon, but scared to get to my exams, 2nd week of december and have NO IDEA what to write...
I have my 2nd part of my Ammonium Nitrate plant design project due on Friday so sleep isnt one of my friends lately! One day we will make up!
Great news: On Dec 21st Im flying to COLOMBIA! YEYEYEYEYEY!! Tita is turning 80 and I am preparing a big, huge, gigantic surprise for her... (details by email)... So excited!! Stopping at NY for 1 hour, hopefully the plain doesnt leave me hanging in Newark because I will be bored calling all my american friends around! My luck with airplanes hasnt been very overflowing lately... I have to be ready! At least is NY (Newark) and not FLIPPING Caracas!
God has been wonderful of course! He has taken care of me in the midst of all these many many many things putting people around that care a lot for me!
My hair is growing... and I look like a french poodle in the mornings! (Uh, and in the afternoons too!)
Uh, for those of you who didnt know! Im SPANISH! (and COlombian too!) Im swearing my "solemn oath" to the King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Zapatitos and Constitution in January... yey!
No more for now (and for a long while!)....
Sowie!
